Tendoy Mountain Retreat started out many years ago offering weeklong Bible camps to young people under the name of Clark Canyon Bible Camp. In the early days of the ministry, tents, food, and water were hauled up into the mountains to hold camp. In 1980 our current property was purchased and building began on a permanent home for the camp ministry. Summer youth camps have been offered every year since then. The facilities have continued to expand as the need has grown.
Several years ago, we noticed a need to partner with fellow ministries through the use of our facility. These partnerships have continued to grow, in number and depth, each year. In 2022 we changed the name of the facilities to Tendoy Mountain Retreat to more clearly communicate the service we offer to fellow ministries as they pursue their program goals. Tendoy is from a Native American word meaning “one who climbs higher.” The facility is located at the base of the Tendoy Mountain Range. Youth Bible camps are still offered throughout the summer under the name of Clark Canyon Bible Camp. Tendoy Mountain Retreat and Clark Canyon Bible Camp are ministries of Westland Bible Mission.
Our Purpose: We are dedicated to equipping people to climb higher in their walk with God.
Our Vision: Provide a quality rustic ministry facility with an environment that will allow people to hear from God distant from everyday distractions.
